Find Summits

You probably already know of some summits near your hometown - that's a good place to start. But if you're travelling further afield, make use of Summit Cheeseburger's database of world summits. You can start by using the links provided on the right side of this page. Pull up the list of countries or US states and click down to a summit of interest. From any specific summit you can also easily browse nearby summits. Nearly 500,000 summits are already entered into the Summit Cheeseburger database - surely you can find one to conquer.

Write Posts

Once you've enjoyed that delicious cheeseburger on your summit you'll want to let the rest of the world know about it. To make the cheeseburger summit "official" you'll need to submit a post to the site. Other readers will want to hear about your journey. It's also the only way to receive credit for your incredible accomplishment (see the Hiker List). Detailed instructions are available - it isn't that hard once you've registered on the site.

Add New Summits

While nearly 500,000 world-wide summits are already entered into the database, not every summit is represented. If you see that your destination is not represented in the Summit Cheeseburger database use the Add a Summit link on the right (you have to be signed in) to enter a new summit.

Enjoy Your Summit Cheeseburger

Pursuing new, out-of-the-way summits will take you to parts of the world you, and probably few others, have explored. Break out of your rut of hiking the same trails over and over and try out that bushwack up some small, seldom-visited summit. Chances are you'll be rewarded with a great view you couldn't have gotten anywhere else. And don't forget the cheeseburger!
